Situation
Over the course of 1 year, a small U.S. Bank journey team was undertaking the mighty task of rebranding and transitioning 400+ pages from the current content management system, TeamSite, to Adobe Experience Manager.
This move was a serious undertaking for the content strategist and writers to distill information from multiple TeamSite pages into a single AEM page while aligning with UX for a cohesive web layout and visual experience. This successful migration resulted in editing the number of AEM pages down to nearly half.
MY ROLE
I was brought on the team for the last quarter of the project to assist in bringing it up to speed and to ensure that it would be completed by the projected finish date. I was one of two UX Designers and worked closely with the AEM authors and content writers on the layout of the new pages.
I also took the initiative to reach out to the Marketing Department in an effort to locate and utilize as much current content from documented U.S. Bank events to bring authenticity to the website whenever possible.
My main responsibilities included:
Updating visual imagery
Adhering to brand standards and working with style guides to keep content on point
Working closely with AEM author to align imagery with the layout and final copy
Compiling mock-ups for review and approval before licensing photography and submitting as the final design
Making design decisions based on responsive design
